An apparently bored girl is standing together with her clique, on the side of a bumper car ride, watching the events. The disco-like lighting, the use of fog machines, while people are passing by and the bumper cars driving by in front, all result in the image incessantly pulsating and changing. After some initial searching, the camera finds its motif and adheres to it – exposing for seconds the emotions and insecurities hidden behind the adolescents’ cool appearance. The level of sound, with its increasingly over modulated and contorted, loop-like recurring basic motif, finds its equivalent both within the glaring and flickering light of the disco-like situation, as well as within the intense “screaming for attention” appearance of the adolescents.

Ein Mädchen steht zusammen mit seiner Clique scheinbar gelangweilt am Rande eines Autoskooters und beobachtet das Geschehen. Die discoartige Beleuchtung, der Einsatz von Nebelmaschinen und die im Vordergrund passierenden Leute und vorbei fahrenden Autoskooter lassen das Bild unablässig pulsieren und sich verändern. Die Kamera, die nach einigem Suchen ihr Motiv gefunden hat und auf ihm beharrt, legt die hinter dem coolen Auftreten der Jugendlichen verborgenen und für Sekunden sichtbar werdenden Emotionen und Unsicherheiten offen. Die Soundebene mit ihrem sich loopartig wiederholenden Grundmotiv und dessen zunehmender Übersteuerung und Verzerrung findet sowohl im blendenden und flackernden Licht der discoartigen Situation als auch im heftigen, nach Aufmerksamkeit schreienden Auftreten der Jugendlichen seine Entsprechung.
